Today, the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili met with the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia and the spiritual leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church, Ilia II.
As report.ge was told in the Presidential Administration, at a face-to-face meeting held at the Georgian Patriarchate, the President of Georgia informed the Patriarch of his initiative to start the process of national consent, for which he asked the Patriarch for blessing.
The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, speaking at the Democracy Summit initiated by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, stated that she would launch a nationwide inclusive process to overcome polarization, hatred, and division which will involve the whole society.
