President: Tired of turning around the same circle

The plenary session of the Parliament of the 10th convocation opened. The President of Georgia opened the sitting, following the rules established by the Constitution. Salome Zurabishvili is addressing the people gathered in the Parliament at the moment.

"We are tired,"! We need to listen to the public in this hall and outside.

We are "tired" of turning around the same circle trying to manage political processes from the street, threatening and provoking destabilization instead of dialogue!

For thirty years, generations stood on the street! Everyone, including me, stood on the steps of Parliament. Today the country needs something else!

We are "tired" of the constant struggle between the two political poles: the Zviadists, the anti-Zviadists, the Shevardnadists, the anti-Shevardnadists, and this continues to this day. At a time when the country needs depolarization, solidarity, and unity!

We are "tired" of endless curses, insults, neglect of Georgian and Caucasian manners!

Hate leaves the country separated, vulnerable, and weak at a time when it needs to mobilize national energy to meet the challenges.

The public's patience has run out, as it has been almost 100 years since Russia's XI Army invaded independent Georgia. It has been almost 30 years since independence was restored and the Soviet Empire ended, and we are building a state. Thirty years is the age of maturity - for both the person and the state. It's time to break the vicious circle!" Zurabishvili stated.

The first plenary session is attended by the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia and other government members, the diplomatic corps, the Mayor of Tbilisi, and the clergy.
