According to Ana Dolidze's initiative, people should elect the Prosecutor General of Georgia directly.
Dolidze stated that the ongoing processes at the prosecutor's office do not give the prospect that the new Prosecutor General will be politically neutral.
"The voting is closed, as well as the consultations. Representatives of the government and my two colleagues who are in the High Council of Justice dominate the Prosecutorial Council. They always supported the government's interest. The only solution I consider is fundamental. We should introduce direct elections. A system like this successfully works in the United States, where the people elect prosecutors," Dolidze said.
