Putting Georgia on the so-called green-zone list is a clear testimony to strong ties with the EU and a significant achievement, PM Giorgi Gakharia posted on his Facebook page.
On behalf of Georgia and the Georgian people, the PM has thanked the EU for recognition, trust, and strategic partnership.
"Today, the EU named Georgia in the list of those 15 countries for which it recommends opening its borders.
Putting Georgia on the so-called green-zone list is a clear testimony to strong ties with the EU, a significant achievement, and the recognition of Georgia's, Georgian people's and the government's success in our fight against the pandemic.
Now we are holding active consultations with the EU member states so that we can ensure a coordinated, step by step and consistent movement of people to the EU countries in accordance with the document published by the EU.
On behalf of Georgia and the Georgian people, I thank the EU for recognition, trust, and strategic partnership," the PM wrote.
