Leaders of left-wing parties decided to temporarily stop the rally. However, some rally participants protested against the decision refusing to leave the site.

Leftist leaders said they will continue the demonstration on Nov.9, at 6 p.m.

The decision was made after police sprayed water cannons at protesters again when they broke through a metal barricade outside the CEC building and attempted to storm the yard, but special forces blocked their way.

There was a standoff between law enforcement and protesters, with protesters trying to break through the police cordon.

A cameraman of the Pirveli TV Company has reportedly been injured during standoff.

Protests are underway outside the CEC building. Police used water cannons to disperse rally participants after they attempted to break through a metal barricade outside the CEC building. Protesters pelted stones on police officers afterward. Some people were injured in the incident.

Rally participants who were dispersed by police officers joined the rally again and created a human chain. A substance like a tear gas was then released into the air.

Special forces are now at the scene.
