"The degree of obedience skyrocketed," this is how the chairperson of the faction United National Movement responded to the nomination of majoritarian candidates of the Georgian Dream.
According to Roman Gotsiridze, Bidzina Ivanishvili spoke for up to 7 minutes, which got interrupted with applause every minute.
"If anyone wants to know what failure looks like, this is what we saw. It is a failed team with former bureaucrats who destroyed the country during the last eight years; Silent deputies who have not once cast a vote during their time in Parliament; Corrupted businessmen, who only care for themselves. Can this team bring the country out of the worst crisis?! Does anyone believe that they have thoughts, ideas, visions?! Does anyone believe that they can solve problems?! These are the people who have done nothing for eight years. Why should we trust them for the next four years?!" Gotsiridze said.
