Georgian ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili responds to the exit poll results released by Mtavari TV.
He says the opposition gained ‘important results.’
Saakashvili assessed October 31 as a historic day, as the Georgian opposition ‘triumphed’ despite being pressured.
“Our task is to establish the unified national government,’’ he concluded.
Georgia closed precincts were closed at 20:00.
The results of the exit polls conducted as ordered by Mtavari TV are as follows:
Georgian Dream – Democratic Georgia - 41%
United National Movement – United Opposition bloc ‘Strength is Unity’ -33%
European Georgia – 5%
Lelo - 4%
Strategy Agmashenebeli – 3%
Girchi - 3%
Alliance of Patriots of Georgia -2%
Labor Party – 2%
Democratic Movement – 1%
Aleko Elisashvili – Citizens – 1%
Other parties – 5%
