The State Security Service (SSS) has released further information on recent changes introduced on the occupation line near the Russia-backed separatist region of Abkhazia.
"Following information spread via the hotline, from Feb 11, the elderly, pensioners, persons with disabilities and others in the occupied and the state-controlled regions are allowed to cross the occupation line.
On Feb 12, from the first half of the day, pensioners will be enabled to get pensions on the occupation line.
Residents of the breakaway region falling into predetermined specific categories will be allowed to enter the Georgian government-controlled territory gradually, in compliance with coronavirus regulations," the statement reads.
The Enguri bridge has been opened after eight-month closure.
