Tomorrow's judgment costs a minimum of $1.5 bln, says expert Khukhashvili

Political expert Gia Khukhashvili has written a social media post on the Kazaradze-Japaridze-Tsereteli case.

''Tomorrow's judgment costs a minimum of $1.5 mln.

The government must claim during the arbitration that the Anaklia project failed because of non-compliance with investment obligations rather than the fact that they scared the investor off after subjecting the operator to illegal persecution.

The not-guilty verdict indirectly admits that the operator was illegally persecuted, thus causing the government to lose in the arbitration.

The price of this judgment is $1.5 billion. The not-guilty statement shows that we have failed to build a state, and the arbitration also is highly unlikely to produce results. The price we have to pay in this case is the bleak future and, presumably, $1.5 bln. This is the stalemate to which they led themselves, and more importantly, the country,'' the expert wrote.

The verdict concerning the Kazaradze-Japaridze-Tsereteli case will be declared tomorrow.
