Giorgi Baramidze, a member of the UNM Political Council, and his spouse have been fined for the involvement in the disobedience rally.
Baramidze states he has no intention to pay the fine, stressing that the countrywide curfew is politically motivated.
"We are protesting against the ludicrous politically motivated restrictions. I emphasize that I am not against all restrictions such as wearing a facemask, keeping a safe social distance, and other reasonable restrictions. However, the curfew and similar measures are politically motivated, which is why we have committed a political act that day. We knew they could have fined us, but as it was a political act, we do not plan to pay the fine and intend to file a lawsuit against it," Baramidze told Rustavi 2.
