According to the Minister of Internal Affairs, 10-15 people found themselves under the rubble due to the collapse of a building in Batumi. Rescuers have telephone communication with two of them.
"About five floors have collapsed. According to our information, about 10-15 people should be inside the ruins. Two people in contact are alive and talk to us on the phone. However, they can not explain where they are, whether they are down in ruins or up. We are talking on the phone," Gomelauri said.
A residential building collapsed on 26 May Street in Batumi.
Rescuers pulled two children out of the rubble. One of them is a newborn; one is one year and three months old. Both children were taken to the hospital.
No casualties have been reported so far.
Citizens are under the collapsed building in Batumi.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement regarding the incident.
