Due to the current epidemiological situation to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Georgia got temporarily closed.
Because of the difficulties caused by the coronavirus pandemic, to avoid the stay of the citizens of Azerbaijan to become illegal, including in Georgia, and to allow them to operate under the current legislation, all types of passports (diplomatic, service, and general) valid till January 1, 2020, will be extended till July 1, 2021. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia spreads the information mentioned above.
Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Georgia must apply to the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Georgia if they want to leave the country and return home.
