A 5.4-magnitude earthquake has been detected in the vicinity of the Kuril Islands’ coast, US Geology Department reports.

The epicenter was detected 54 km far from Shikotan Island, in the depth of 48 km.

Authorities declared no Tsunami threat. No information on the death toll, loss, or destruction is available.
