Russia opposition leader Alexei Navalny shares the details of his treatment in Germany and talks on his rehabilitation.
“Let me describe the details of my rehabilitation. Condition improvement is evident, but the process will take a long time. The current problems, like holding the mobile phone in hands or pouring water in the glass, turns into maneuvering – nonsense.
It was just recently that I did not recognize and understand people, could not talk. Every morning doctor came carrying a board and said: Alexei, here is a board, what word shall we write on it. It made me feel desperate because though I understood in general what the doctor wanted, but I did not know where to pick up the words. In which part of my head do the words appear? Where to find a word and how to turn it into something meaningful? I did not understand it. However, I did not know how to express my desperation and remained mute. Moreover, this is the late stage I describe, which I can recollect.
It was the last stage of my treatment which I can remember.
Now I am a boy that feels tremor when descending on the stairs…
