Turkish archaeologists claim to have found fragments of a Trojan horse on the country's territory, Greek Repoter reveals.

Excavations have uncovered dozens of Christmas trees and columns up to 15 meters long. The parts were assembled in a strange shape, which led experts to suspect that they belonged to a Trojan horse.

The wooden structure was located within the walls of the ancient city of Troy. Archaeologists say that the fragments found are similar to descriptions of Virgil, Augustus, and Quintus Smyrnaeus.

Another find that confirms the claims of archaeologists is a damaged bronze plate with the inscription: "For their return home, the Greeks dedicate this offering to Athena." Quintus Smyrnaeus refers to this plate in his epic poem "Posthomerica."

"Carbon dating tests and other analysis show that wooden parts and other artifacts date back to the XII-XI centuries BC," says one of the leaders of the excavation, Professor Morris.
