The Armenian government has declared a martial law and general mobilization for the Karabakh recent developments.

Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan wrote about it on his official Facebook page.

''Dear compatriots, the government decided to declare the state of war and general military mobilization in the Republic of Armenia. The decision will take effect since it is published. I urge the staff controlling the troops to present their territorial military commissions. For the homeland, for the victory,'' the statement reads.

Tensions have been observed at the Azerbaijan-Armenia border since the early morning. Azerbaijani media say that Armenia carried out a large-scale attack this morning and killed peaceful citizens.

Azerbaijani Defense Ministry reports that Azerbaijani troops opened fire in response.
