"Armenian armed forces have committed large-scale provocations against Azerbaijan on the state border in the Kalbajar and Lachin districts," the Ministry of Defense reveals. The local media reports about the incident.
According to the agency, the Armenian military used small arms and grenade launchers of various calibers.
"According to preliminary information, two servicemen of the Azerbaijani Army were wounded. The injured received first aid. At present, their condition is not life-threatening," the Ministry of Defense stated.
The statement said that the Azerbaijani side carried out an emergency military operation, resulting in the Armenian military being disarmed and detained.
"Azerbaijani army units are taking adequate measures to prevent provocations on the Armenian side," the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry said in a statement.
