According to the State Commission for Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons, they are servicemen of Armenian origin detained on November 16, 2021, while preventing the provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces in the direction of Kalbajar on the state border.
The Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs responded to the handover of the captives.
"We welcome the extradition of military personnel to Armenia on December 29, who was detained on November 16, 2021," the statement said.
On November 26, December 4, and 19, 2021, Azerbaijan handed over 21 prisoners of war to Armenia.
