"Armenia has bombed the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline with cluster type missiles," said Hikmet Hajiyev, the Assistant of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and head of Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration.
According to him, the missiles fell 10 meters from the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline in the Yevlakh district.
"More than 300 fragments of cluster missiles got scattered in the surrounding area," Hajiyev said.
Ibrahim Ahmadov, the Deputy Head of the Public Relations and Events Department of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), says that the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline continues to operate as usual.
"Armenia poses a threat not only to our republic but also to the countries of the European Union. The long-term occupation of Nagorno-Karabakh and the regions nearby Azerbaijan by Armenia poses a constant threat to international oil and gas pipelines," Ahmadov said.
