Authorities in the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar say the bodies of 96 people have been recovered from the Ganges River.
It was reported that the bodies of about 100 people were found in the river, most likely dead by the coronavirus. According to locals, the reason for dumping the bodies in the river is the high price for cremation in India, due to the record number of COVID-19 cases, which is why relatives of the deceased throw the dead into the river.
The country authorities demanded to stop dumping the bodies of the dead.
