According to a study by British experts, under global warming, by 2040, winter frosts in Britain will be almost non-existent, except in the highlands of Scotland.
If greenhouse gas emissions are reduced, the world could slow down these processes. However, by the end of the century, snow will almost completely disappear from most of the Earth's surface. Winters will be warmer and wetter, and summers will be hotter and drier.
