The first case of the new coronavirus confirmed in Spain. The case detected on the Gomera Isle of Canary Islands. Reuters to spread the information.
According to the Health Ministry, the patient was together with five other persons. All of them are isolated now. They are placed in the military hospital of Madrid to stay during the fourteen quarantine days.
The new type of coronavirus has reportedly killed 259 people so far. 9,692 are infected, with 1,500 being in critical condition.
Cases of the deadly virus have been confirmed in 19 countries worldwide.
The WHO declared coronavirus a global health emergency on 30 January. The virus is highly contagious with proved human to human transmission.
