Based on the research conducted by the National Center of Infectious Diseases of Singapore and the Department of Virology at the Academy of Sciences, the patients with coronavirus infection are no longer contagious eleven days after the symptoms are revealed. The Straits Times magazine publishes the article about the research.

The Head of the Center, Leo I Sin, mentioned that scientists possess sufficient justification to prove that infected people are no longer contagious in eleven days after the symptoms are revealed.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore do not attain official status to the research results at this stage and does not allow infected patients to leave hospitals until their test results prove they are virus-negative.

The number of infected people in Singapore exceeds 31 thousand, 23 patients have died.
