According to the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Leyla Abdullayeva, the positive signals received from Armenia regarding the delimitation of the borders give hope that this process will develop in a constructive direction.
"Azerbaijan supports the establishment of relations with all states in the same way, based on respect for each other's internationally recognized borders, which is the unchanging position of our country. Among other issues, we have expressed our readiness to normalize relations with Armenia on the basis of this fundamental principle of international law and to start negotiations on the delimitation of the border.
The process of delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia is a bilateral issue. The recent positive signals from the opposite side on this issue give hope for the development of the process in a constructive direction," said the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
