The 36th meeting of the GUAM Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs has been held today. At the end of the meeting, the chairmanship of GUAM was transferred to Georgia.

Georgian Foreign Minister Davit Zalkaliani, Moldovan Foreign Minister Aurelie Chokoy, and Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar participated in the meeting, which was presided over by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan has released this information.

The meeting participants assessed cooperation between their countries in 2020 and discussed future proposals and recommendations.

According to Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, at the meeting, the Secretary-General of the organization and the countries involved in it focused on the issue of liberation of Azerbaijani territories and the norms and principles of international law.

At the end of the meeting, they adopted the Protocol on the Current Meeting and Four Decisions, which are as follows: 1) the communication strategy; 2) the procedures for drafting statements and declarations; 2) approval of the 2021 budget and 3) transferring the chairmanship to Georgia.
