German Prosecutor's Office will investigate the murder of Georgian citizen Zelimkhan Khangoshvili. German federal prosecutors believe Russian intelligence was involved in the killing of Khangoshvili in Berlin.
This case can raise tensions between Germany, other western countries and Russia, after strains over the poisoning of a former Russian spy, Sergei Skripal and his daughter in Britain last year.
40-years-old Zelimkhan Khangoshvili, was shot twice in the head in a central Berlin park on August 23, while he was heading to a mosque.
