PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) mercenaries from Syria and Iraq fight on the side of Armenia's Armed Forces in Nagorno-Karabakh, Hikmat Hajiyev, Vice President of Azerbaijan, said.
In his words, on October 30, Armenian news agencies released videos as if showing Syrian fighters arrested by the Armenian troops for serving in the Azerbaijani army.
As Hajiyev remarks, the Armenian side tries to confirm that Azerbaijan has mercenaries with the fake videos.
He adds that the questioned person's linguistic examination showed that he is Kurd, living in Syria.
"It hints that Armenia's army includes PKK fighters from Syria and Iraq,'' he says.
"The authorities of Azerbaijan have irrefutable evidence and operational information about the presence of foreigners and mercenaries in the Armenian military units, including activists of terrorist organizations from Syria, who are taking part in hostilities," Hikmat Hajiyev said.
