Heavy snowfall has reportedly killed at least 34 people. Thousands were left without electricity in the disaster zones, with flights delayed due to bad weather in Texas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, and Kentucky.
Texas suffered the most from the frost. Twenty people died there. More than 325 thousand families are left without electricity, and hundreds of thousands of families are not supplied with water. There are huge queues at grocery stores and gas stations in Houston.
