According to the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, the Azerbaijani army has established control over nine villages in the Jabrayil district.
While addressing the population, the President of Azerbaijan said that a new history is being written now, as historical justice is being restored.
"We will rebuild every city. We will rebuild the mosques destroyed by the Armenians. Life will return to these regions. We are fighting on our land. Our territorial integrity must be restored, and we are on the right path," Aliyev said.
The President of Azerbaijan addressed the IDPs of the liberated villages and noted that they would return to their ancestors' lands.
Aliyev also noted that he had repeatedly called on the Minsk Group co-chairs and international organizations to influence the Armenian government, but that peace initiatives had gone unanswered and that Azerbaijan would never settle for Armenia's position in Nagorno-Karabakh.
According to Aliyev, Azerbaijan lived with hope and tried to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully, but faced provocation at every step.
"The Armenian leadership should think twice before it is too late. Pashinyan presented seven terms. I have to go through them. You are kneeling to restore the ceasefire regime. The ceasefire was restored within two years at the request of the Armenian Prime Minister. Considering the difficult internal situation, he asked me to give him time to solve this issue, come up with new ideas, to change everything that was in the past, and give him time. One year later, he states that Karabakh is Armenia," said the President of Azerbaijan.
According to Aliyev, for its part, Azerbaijan has only one demand for Armenia.
"Let them leave our lands. Let them go, and the confrontation will end. But not verbally, but by deeds. They should recognize the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, as the fundamental principles strengthen it. They should say that Armenia will withdraw the troops from the occupied territories, apologize and say that Armenia is not Karabakh. The last condition is to give us a timetable for the Armenian armed forces' withdrawal from the occupied territories. Then, of course, we will restore the ceasefire," Aliyev said.
The President of Azerbaijan noted that Azerbaijanis are supporters of justice.
"We will restore justice. We are right, and we will win. Karabakh is ours, Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" Ilham Aliyev said.
