"Today, the Azerbaijani army is launching devastating strikes on the Armenian army in all directions," Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said in an interview with Turkish TV channel NTV.
"According to yesterday's exact data, 200 Armenian tanks were destroyed, and 33 seized. Armenia does not own any units of Azerbaijani military equipment. Thirty-three tanks, in working condition, are now in the hands of our army. Two air defense systems C-300 got destroyed, with 35 anti-aircraft systems and other equipment," Aliyev said.
According to Aliyev, the Armenian army's technical equipment got severely damaged, and Azerbaijan is liberating new territories.
"There will be new announcements shortly. It will weaken them even more. The Armenian people must also know the truth. We offer the most accurate information. Therefore, if the Armenian people want to know the truth, let them listen to us," he said.
Ilham Aliyev noted that Armenia is not sincere at the negotiating table.
"From the very first hours of these battles, I addressed them and the Armenian people, saying: Leave these lands peacefully, so that there will be no bloodshed, no people will die. Unfortunately, Armenia is not doing so. The one to blame in the complete defeat of the Armenian army on the battlefield today is the Armenian military-political leadership," he said.
