Ilham Aliyev: Hadrut settlement and several other villages liberated - UPDATED

"The Azerbaijani army has liberated several settlements," the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, said in his address to the nation.

In Aliyev's words, the Hadrut settlement and several villages have been liberated.

"From Armenian occupation, we have liberated the Hadrut settlement, the villages of Chayli, Yukhari Guzlak, Gorazilli, Gishlag, Garachayli, Afandiler, Suleymanli and Su villages," President Ilham Aliyev said.

Additionally, according to the Azerbaijani leader, the Armenian army had suffered a major blow since 27 September – 16 command posts, 196 tanks, 38 BM-21, one “Hurricane”, 10 self-propelled artillery units, including eight “Acacia”, two “Qvozdika”, 36 infantry fighting vehicles, 24 artillery batteries, 2 RM or air defense installations, two launch facilities of the “S-300” complex, 25 OSA anti-aircraft missile systems, two “Cube” anti-aircraft missile systems and other military equipment have been destroyed. In addition, 18 tanks, four artillery pieces, 22 infantry fighting vehicles, 12 mortars, 27 “Igla” complexes and other vehicles were seized.

Ilham Aliyev stressed that Azerbaijan would restore its territorial integrity.

"We will force them to leave. We will plant our flag in all occupied territories. Azerbaijan will restore its territorial integrity. Long live the Azerbaijani army! Karabakh is Azerbaijan!" Aliyev declared.

The Azerbaijani leader also stressed that Azerbaijan is giving Armenia the last chance: "if after Moscow negotiations, they mislead us, they will regret," he said, adding: "We will return our lands, either peacefully or through a war. We want to return them peacefully. We are giving Armenians the last chance. They should not hope that anybody will help them, for nobody will."

Additionally, the Azerbaijani president pointed out that the Armenian authorities regularly call leaders of different countries.

"He is belittling himself by begging them for help. We have reiterated that the only way for their survival is the liberation of our lands," Aliyev said, adding that the status-quo has been changed.

"This has been left behind. I have changed the status-quo. The status quo on the battlefield does not exist any longer," the Azerbaijani leader stressed.
