The President of Iran, Hassan Rouhani, declared that he was not going to negotiate with the United States unless Washington stops press Iran by the sanctions. Reuters spreads information.
“Iran will never negotiate under pressure ... We will never yield to America’s pressure, and we will not negotiate from a position of weakness. America’s ‘maximum pressure’ towards Iran is doomed to failure” - Rouhani said.
As a reminder: Tensions have increased between Iran and the United States since 2018 after President Donald Trump exited a nuclear deal with Iran.
Hassan Rouhani said it was impossible to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf Area without the support from Iran.
