The funeral of Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon took place this morning. Due to the measures taken regarding the spread of the coronavirus, a limited number of people attended the ceremony.
A 64-year-old Park Won-soon was found dead on June 9. The cause of death has not been officially announced yet, though police consider a version of suicide.
Local media reported that he was being investigated on charges of sexual assault.
On the day of his death, Park left a letter before leaving the house in which he apologized to everyone, especially to the family.
Park has been mayor of Seoul since 2011. He was considered one of the candidates in the 2020 South Korean presidential elections.
