"Turkey supports NATO enlargement and accession of other neighboring countries," the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, said before the meeting of the North Atlantic Council with the participation of Georgia and Ukraine.
He says this is what Turkey, including President Erdogan, is saying at NATO summits and ministerial meetings.
Speaking about Russia's aggression against Ukraine, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said that the Turkish side communicates with both Russia and Ukraine and has recently had telephone conversations with Sergey Lavrov, Dmytro Kuleba and plans to meet with them in the coming days.
Çavuşoğlu said that on Friday, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would talk to Russian President Vladimir Putin.
