The Lebanese prosecutor's office will interrogate several former and current ministers connected with the explosion in the port of Beirut. The newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat writes about this. According to the publication, the Ministers of Finance and Labor will also be questioned. The case will then be referred to Parliament.

The explosion near the port of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, took place on August 4. The cause of the tragedy was 2 750 tons of ammonium nitrate, which was stored in the warehouse without following the safety measures.

Protests have been going on in Lebanon for the last few days, including clashes with law enforcement. Citizens blamed the government for the blast. On August 10, the Lebanese government resigned in full force.
