The Vice Prime Ministers of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan will meet in Moscow on January 27 to discuss the construction of a transport corridor in the South Caucasus.

According to reports, Shahin Mustafayev will represent Azerbaijan at the meeting.

The parties will discuss what facilities should be built or rehabilitated in order to restore traffic in the region. Particular attention will be paid to the construction of a railway through the territory of Armenia, which will connect Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan, as well as Russia with Armenia.

Baku is also requesting the construction of a highway along this section.

Construction of part of the road in Azerbaijan has already begun.

At the same time, the prime ministers are considering the possibility of connecting Armenia and Iran by railway through Nakhchivan.
