The US will not send a crew to the moon before 2025. This was announced by the head of the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), Bill Nelson, AFP reports.

He notes that last week NASA won a lawsuit filed against him by Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin. The company has sued after Elon Musk lost a contract for the SpaceX access module.

"We lost seven months at the court, and that probably led to the fact that the first human admission could not happen until 2025," Nelson said.

The last time humans landed on the moon was during the American mission Apollo 17 in 1972.
