According to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the situation with coronavirus in the country is getting worse, and the statistics of recent days are critical.

It is mandatory to wear masks to prevent the spread of the virus in the country.

In the last 24 hours, 697 new cases of coronavirus detected in the country. According to official data, the total number of those with COVID-19 reaches 11,221, Pashinyan said while being live on Facebook.

According to the Prime Minister, such figures indicate that there are people in Armenia who need timely medical care but cannot have it. The pandemic reached a point where the health care system can no longer cope with the problem.

According to him, there are about 20,000 people in Armenia infected who do not know about their diagnosis. They are the main source of infection and need to be identified.

Since the spread, 176 people died in Armenia, including six in the past day. The number of infected people who died of other diseases is 68, 9 of them died in the last 24 hours.

3468 patients recovered and defeated the virus in the country.
