On October 17, the traditional Saturday protest action "Women's March" was held in the capital of Belarus.

As the local news agency TUT.by reports, the Belarusian police detained more than a dozen during the rally, including women and journalists.

The Belarus government mobilized the special equipment in the Minsk center.

Protests in Belarus began after the announcement of the results of the presidential elections.

Citizens believe that the August 9 elections were held in violation of the rules.

They demand the resignation of the current president of the country, Alexander Lukashenko.

The protesters also demand the release of political prisoners and punish those responsible for the use of force against the protesters during the demonstrations.
