Protests in Belarus began after the announcement of the results of the presidential elections. Citizens believe that the August 9 elections were held in violation of the rules and demand the resignation of the current president of the country, Alexander Lukashenko.
Besides, the protesters demand the release of political prisoners and punish those responsible for the use of force against the protesters during the demonstrations.
