Talib movement seized fire for three days in respect of Ramadan Bayram, The Guardian writes.
“Do not undertake any humiliating act against the enemy. If the enemy attacks, protect yourself,” – reads the statement of Zabihullah Mujahid, the representative of Talibs.
He also mentions that the seize fire decision will be in effect only during the holidays.
The Afghan government has not yet commented.
As a reminder: the attacks from Talibs are particularly frequent despite the coronavirus epidemic.
On May 12, the Afghan President, Ashraf Ghani, summoned the country law enforcers to attack the terrorists.
The President mentioned that the radical Talib Movement neglects the Afghan government’s appeal to minimize violence and seize fire.
