The US State Department appeals to Azerbaijan and Armenia

On the anniversary of the signing of a tripartite statement by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Russia on the complete cessation of hostilities in Karabakh, the US State Department called on Baku and Yerevan to intensify contacts, including through the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe to resolve all remaining issues related to the conflict.

This is stated in the statement of the Spokesperson for the United States Department of State, Edward Price.

"We call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to continue and intensify their interaction, including under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, to find comprehensive solutions to all issues," he said.

According to Edward Price, the United States remains committed to promoting a secure, stable, prosperous, and peaceful future for the South Caucasus region.

Price noted that Erika Olson, the US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, is currently in the region "to discuss bilateral issues with all three countries and explore opportunities for regional cooperation."
