Volcanic lava erupted on Canary Palm Island and reached the ocean. The information is published by the newspaper El País.

Contact with lava and saltwater caused harmful gases.

EFE explains that the lava began to fall into the water at an altitude of 100 meters above sea level. El País writes that local authorities have banned ships from entering the water area for almost 4 kilometers for security reasons.
