Tunisia reduced the mandatory quarantine for passengers arriving in the country to 48 hours. This decree will take effect on March 8, the Ministry of Tourism of Tunisia reported.

Earlier the period of mandatory quarantine was seven days.

Foreign nationals will have to present a negative PCR test result within 72 hours before arriving in Tunisia.

However, passengers will be required to undergo a rapid coronavirus test upon arrival at the airport.

Tourists should self-isolate for 48 hours at their hotel and then do another test at their own expense.

Simultaneously, the curfew in Tunisia operates from 22:00 to 05:00 local time.

Amidst the pandemic, 236,000 cases of COVID-19 have been detected, while more than 8,000 people lost their lives.
