The UK will withdraw almost all of its troops from Afghanistan, Reuters reports. There are currently 750 British troops in Afghanistan. They will have a hard time without the US military because they are in the US base and use their infrastructure. Control of the Kabul Military Academy, where the British train Afghan soldiers, will be handed over to the Afghan government.

The Taliban have refused to take part in talks until international troops leave Afghanistan. An international conference on Afghanistan is scheduled for April 24 to May 3 in Istanbul. Representatives of the Afghan government and the Taliban should take part in it.

According to American media, US President Joe Biden plans to withdraw all US forces from Afghanistan by September 11, 2021.

The initiative to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan belongs to former US President Donald Trump. Under an agreement reached between US and Taliban leaders in Doha on February 29, 2020, the United States and its coalition allies have agreed to leave Afghanistan within 14 months.
