The Dutch government has allowed the public to attend the Eurovision Song Contest, which will occur in Rotterdam in May.
"We welcome the decision made by the Dutch government and are looking forward to watching the Eurovision Song Contest in May," said the competition's executive director.
According to members of the Dutch public broadcasting system (NOS), the Dutch Cabinet of Ministers intends to conduct an experiment to determine how mass events can be held safely.
To attend the event, spectators must have a PCR test with negative results.
Authorities have not ruled out that if the epidemic situation worsens, viewers will have to watch Eurovision on TV.
Due to the travel ban, only Dutch citizens will be able to attend the competition.
Musicians from 41 countries will take part in the international music competition "Eurovision 2021".
The 2020 festival, like many other public events, got canceled due to the coronavirus.
65th Eurovision Song Contest, with the motto "Open Up," will be held in Ahoy Hall, Rotterdam, on May 12-16, 20121. The final of "Eurovision 2021" is scheduled for May 22.
