Designer Pierre Cardin dies

Famous French designer Pierre Cardin died at the age of 98. The France Presse spreads the information based on his family.

The designer died at a hospital in one of the suburbs of Paris.

Pierre Cardin is considered to be one of the definers of the fashion trends. In 1957, he was the first fashion designer who unveiled a whole series of ready-made clothing collections to the people and arranged shows on Boulevard Haussmann. He was revolutionary in many areas: First is the avant-garde style, narrow sleeveless jackets, worn by The Beatles. The second one is establishing a licensing system and production of Cardin clothing in Japan, China, and even the Soviet Union. A total of 900 licenses in 140 countries and 200,000 people successfully working on the "Pierre Cardin" brand. And the third one is the creation of the first collection of menswear in fashion history.
