With the support of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia, an exhibition of works by the famous artist Ilia Patashuri "Bells of Pkhovi" opened at the Dimitri Shevardnadze National Gallery.
The gallery will present 120 works of the artist (painting, graphics) for one month. A catalog reflecting the life and work of Ilia Patashuri was also prepared and published for the exhibition.
Ilia Patashuri was born in 1939 in the village of Khevsha. The artist's work is genre-diverse - mainly traditional, historical, and contemporary scenes, landscape, portrait, still life, performed in a combination of intense colors. Especially famous paintings are: "Didgori," "Vedreba," "Pomegranates," "Krtsanisi," and others.
