The Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs of Georgia, Tea Tsulukiani, named why Education got separated from the Ministry.
"I had the opportunity to look at the activities of this Ministry, and it was clear that no matter time and effort, it was impossible for Mr. Chkhenkeli and his team (I mean culture and sports) to pay attention to everything (education, schools, universities, science). That is why the idea of separation arose, though not in its original form. Earlier, when we came to power, the Ministry of Culture and Sports was separate. The division should be optimal so that all fields are given proper attention," Tea Tsulukiani said.
Tea Tsulukiani was appointed Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth of Georgia on March 19.
