The manuscript of the Battle of Austerlitz by the great French commander-in-chief and emperor Napoleon Bonaparte has been put up for auction. The initial value of the historical document is million euros.

The battle, known as the Battle of Austerlitz, or the Battle of the Three Emperors, was carried out according to an action plan cleverly drawn up by Napoleon. Exiled on the island of Saint Helena, Napoleon restored the details of the war with complete accuracy and dictated to his own adjutant Bertrand. Historians believe that after the defeat of Waterloo, Napoleon tried to restore his glory by creating the document of this battle.

The 74-page manuscript tells of a military confrontation between Napoleon, Emperor Francis II of Austria, and Alexander II of Russia in 1805. The document describes exactly how Napoleon's tactics were justified; the opponent was deceived when they believed the weakness of the French side and got trapped.

The battle of Austerlitz, as a textbook, is still taught in higher military schools.

The auction is dedicated to the 200th anniversary of Napoleon's death.
